Action Alphabet : Sensorimotor Activities for Groups

This approach is designed to develop a variety of skills in nursery school through to primary school clients.

The obstacle course therapy combines motor and language skills development, and therapy objectives are combined with curriculum goals.

It is a multisensory approach, promoting letter recognition and formation, and building up vocabulary. The manual contains a letter of introduction for parents; reproducible activities and handouts; reproducible home idea pages for carryover; information about how to set up a classroom obstacle course; a description of each activity, from A-Z; vocabulary lists; and appendices recommending books, records, tapes, songs and fingerplays to reinforce lessons.
