A cook book compiled by the staff of one of the nation's leading cooking schools has been published by Pelican Publishing Company.

Entitled Cathedral Cooking School Cook Book , the volume includes traditional and Creole recipes taught during the past ten years in the nationally known Christ Church Cathedral Cooking School of New Orleans.

Edited by Mrs. Lucy Core and Mrs. Clara Lyman, the 208-page book divides recipes into 14 types of food and includes a section of suggested full-course menus.

Illustrating the work are sketches by Doris Kimball.

According to the editors, the book is based on the premise that while cooking should be sophisticated, it should not be complicated.
