AQA English GCSE Specification A

Accompanies the Student Support Book for AQA A English and English Literature low ability, and gives teachers detailed notes and photocopy masters to help their teaching of students who need the most help to achieve their potential.

Like the Support Book it accompanies, the Teacher's Book is divided into the main areas of study - novels and poems, drama, writing original narrative, non-fiction and media texts, and writing non-fiction texts.

For every section in the book, the teacher is guided through: setting objectives; introducing the topic; using discussion to introduce activities; using the photocopy masters to structure and scaffold students' work; and reflecting on learning at the end of the lesson.

All materials have been trialled in both mainstream and special schools.
