The fantasy takes place on Magic Far-Ago Island. Thirteen-year-old twins Billy and Annie, are out on a lake in their rowing boat. A purple mist descends on them and turns into a large hand and beckoning finger which leads them to a gated archway where they read a banner. 'This is the entrance to Magic Far-Ago Island. Enter at your peril. Despite the perilous warning, the twins row on through the gateway. It closes behind them and the banner reads. This way to Near-Ago World.

What danger will the twins encounter on this strange, beautiful, island? Who are the inhabitants of this magic island?

We meet the main characters in order of their appearance.
Egnaro: A beautiful girl with orange skin who welcomes them eagerly.
Dumligo: A strange three-horned pony with magical power.
Terominus: A dreaded giant Cyclops who will change his identity at will.
Ortll: A giant troll who takes the twins on a torturous journey.
Regano: Held captive, and slave to Terominus, in a den on Blackside.

Billy and Annie, are taken captive by deceiving trolls and ogres, and taken to Blackside. While hidden in a bamboo cage, the twins see Terominus transform in his den? Regano and Ortll devise a plan for the twins to escape from Blackside. Ortll takes the twins on a terrifying journey to his cave to meet Egnaro. She takes them to a dungeon and gives them a terrifying option to escape from the dungeon. Will Billy slay a grotesque black widow spider, who has woven her web across the only exit.

Do the twins have protection? Will they survive their frightening and terrifying captivity and encounters without injury?

Will the twins escape from Blackside and get back to Far-Ago safely?

Will Billy slay the dreaded Cyclops?

Will the twins return to Near-Ago World, safely?
