Jumpstart Extra - Stage 3 : Teacher Resource

"Jumpstart Extra Teacher Resource Book 3" provides: clear practical teacher's notes; a synopsis of each Reader; National Literacy Framework Text, Sentence and Word Level objectives for each Reader; ideas for reading, writing and discussion activities; suggested ideas for homework; and photocopiable activity masters. "Jumpstart Extra Stage A" provides ten non-fiction books to complement and extend "Jumpstart Stage 1" readers.

Every "Jumpstart Extra" title links thematically to a core book in Jumpstart and repeats the core book's high frequency vocabulary.

Less confident readers are progressively familiarized with non-fiction text features such as captions, diagrams, maps, indexes and glossaries.

No new strategies are introduced and new vocabulary is minimal, allowing children increased opportunities to succeed.
