Contemporary tie and dye textiles of Indonesia

Hand-spun and hand-woven textiles have always been an integral part of the cultures of South-East Asia.

This text maps contemporary areas of production and markets, and documents a cross-section of current practices and examples of tie and dye weaving in Indonesia.
