Scott Fitzgerald was one of the most notable and public American writers during the Roaring Twenties, and well after he had flamed out both professionally and personally, there was a revival of interest in his works, especially The Great Gatsby, which is now considered one of the Great American Novels.

His works continue to be viewed as the epitome of the Jazz Age lifestyle, with Fitzgerald writing what he lived.
