See all formats and editions

To what extent do social services departments monitor the use of their services by the black and minority ethnic community?

This report examines social services departments' experiences of ethnic record keeping and monitoring and their views about it and establishes the use they make of the results.

Based on a national survey of social services departments, its findings suggest that if social services departments are committed to providing services that meet the needs of the black and minority ethnic community, then at the very least they need to consider how coherent and comprehensive their policy and monitoring frameworks are.
