After an argument causes four teenagers to leave their prom early, they are involved in a car accident and decide to split up to seek help.

Unfortunately, this causes them to cross paths with Vilmer (McConaughey), a psychopathic sadist, and the rest of his dangerous family, including Leatherface (Robert Jacks).

However, Jenny (Zellweger) is determined to escape and fights back tenaciously against her tormentors.
