Conservation in a global sense is very much live and kicking on the National Curriculum.

Every child has to learn about rain forests, rising seas and global warming.

However, many children are blissfully unaware of the state of the environment a little closer to home. "The Mud Pack" focuses on the animals and habitats under our noses and highlights some of the people and organizations who are working to protect them. "The Mud Pack" helps children to take a realistic look at their environment and find ways of protecting it for the future.

From preserving the dormouse's motorway to encouraging weeds to grow, it aims to encourage a sense of collective responsibility for conservation through fascinating facts, helpful advice and simple steps for positive action.
