A Christmas tale about a homeless couple’s battle with the bitter cold and loneliness of the streets and how they found something special in an unexpected place. Not Just Another Christmas is written and beautifully illustrated by Fred Wills. This modern day story about the holiday season is narrated by his character Just Jessica, based on his daughter with Down Syndrome and the star of his first book, Just A Girl Named Jessica. Just Jessica enlightens the reader and aims to help them find empathy as this homeless family travels their difficult journey of being different. This is a touching tale where the reader will explore the importance of diversity and inclusion, the basic human need for love and kindness and the idea that we are all, a lot alike and only a little different.   Follow Jamal and Maria as they search for the warmth of home and the love of family during the Christmas season.  Their journey brings them to a small town where their mere presence and need help transform the town’s people and themselves as the unexpected miracle of Christmas touches everyone’s heart and changes all their lives forever.
