This title tells the story of an irresistible new duo: Rita, a determined, rather cross and bossy little girl, and Whatsit, the cheeky, playful, philosophical dog with no name.

When Rita agrees to take Whatsit to school it is on the understanding that the dog stays quiet and hidden.
