List of MAK and BAT Values : Maximum Concentration at the Workplace and Biological Tolerance Values for Working Materials

This booklet lists the maximum permissible concentrations (MAK values) of almost 500 chemical compounds to which people are exposed at work, and classifies over 160 such substances as carcinogens or suspected carcinogens.

They are determined and revised annually by a commission of experts from all relevant scientific disciplines appointed by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft.

The report is recommended reading for toxicologists, chemists and industrial physicians, as well as research scientists with an interest in laboratory safety and all those involved in the wider sense in the establishment of health and safety regulations.
