Richard Walker (1943-1999)was a professional storyteller and freelance broadcaster who lived and worked in Shropshire. He was also the author of "The Barefoot Book of Trickster Tales" (1998). Olwyn Whelan, a graduate of the Edinburgh College of Art and a freelance illustrator, is a former part-time lecturer at Langside College, Glasgow. She is the illustrator of "My Very First Book of Princesses", also published by Barefoot Books.
