Pesticides in water : report of "The Working Party on the Incidence of Pesticides in Water"

Information on the use of pesticides in the UK is important for the identification of pesticides likely to result in water contamination.

It is also important to be able to estimate from the usage data the risk of pesticide occurrence in individual water catchments.

The Working Party on the Incidence of Pesticides in Water (WPIPW) was established in 1991 to review the arrangement for the collection, evaluation and dissemination of information from the monitoring of pesticides in water in the UK.

This publication contains information on pesticides in drinking water, trends throughout the environment for pesticides in rivers and lakes, in groundwater and in estuarine and coastal waters.
