Plastics and Technology

Plastics and Technology is one of the titles appearing in the Australian Technology Studies series aimed at upper secondary school students.

The first book in this series, Materials, Design and Technology, introduces the student to the design process which has now been incorporated into the national curriculum subject design and technology.

This book applies the design process to plastics. It covers scientific and technological developments in plastics, their origin, types, manufacture, consumer use and environmental issues related to their disposal.

It also includes sections on the skills necessary for working with plastics and the methods available.

The book is designed to be used in conjunction with Materials, Design and Technology.
