Developing Cultural Literacy Through the Writing Process : Empowering Learners Through the Grades

This work promotes the expansion of cultural literacy with the development of process-based writing.

It examines each stage of the writing process, emphasizing the recursive and overlapping nature of the stages.

Using many related model activities, it shows classroom and prospective teachers how to develop the writing process while expanding the child's knowledge base and providing opportunities for the child to think critically.
