Andalusia : Diverse Like a Continent

In the early years already the Phoenicians recognised the peculiarities of this region, which has 3,000 hours of sunshine per year and settled here.

The trip through Andalusia leads far further than the well-known villages with their wealth of folklore and handiwork to impressive mountain landscapes with interesting fauna on dreamy sandy beaches or breathtaking cliff lines.

Windsurfers favour Cadiz and skiers the Sierra Nevada.

The capital Seville, established according to the saga by the Greek hero Hercules, is an experience for architecture fans, in Malaga you can enjoy the specialities offered in a unique atmosphere, Granada offers, among other things, a view to the highest mountain in Spain, Mulhacen, 3,482 m high, and Jaen is well known for the high-value native olive oil produced there.

Paul Trummer has sought out all these locations and many more.

He is married to an Andalusian and understandably also has a holiday home there.

In excellent pictures he introduces the country and its people and his love of the region enables him to capture the, in part unique, light plays with his camera.
