The San Moritz Murders

When LAPD Homicide Detective, Charlie Bates, suffered a debilitating
heart attack he thought his time investigating heinous crimes were
over. Little did he know that a newspaper article about the 40th
anniversary of the Secosky family murders would draw him into a
mystery that involved the CIA, the KGB, disgruntled relatives, jealous
neighbors, escaped convicts, pedophiles, and jilted lovers.
Waiting for a heart transplant, and being attached to a heart pump
machine, cannot keep Detective Charlie Bates down. With the help of
his young wife, Maureen, they plunge into a deep mystery that has
not been solved in over four decades.
