Rutanda: Return to Your Essence through Meditative Yoga Movement is a comprehensive instruction manual to the graceful practice of Rutanda. It combines elements of meditation and mindfulness with poses that flow smoothly into each other. Rutanda brings both a deep sense of self-discovery and a feeling of harmony with the Universe. The poses in two healing movement sequences apply psychospiritual symbolism expressing stages of life. Requiring just a few minutes each day, Rutanda is a powerful internal practice as well as a physical one for beginner, intermediate, and advanced-level practitioners.

Rutanda draws equally from the timeless connection to Spirit, ancient Yoga, Tai Chi, and Qigong concepts, and contemporary insights. In the book, Yoga, Tai Chi, and Qigong are compared in ways their principles are shared with Rutanda. Philosophical aspects of the discipline are simply and briefly explained. While understanding these aspects is important, the primary emphasis is on the practice itself. Easy-to-follow instructions and photos then help learners move into, hold, and move out of Rutanda's poses.

Both of Rutanda's sets of healing movements begin with a three-step meditation that encourages peaceful interconnectivity, intuitiveness, and gratitude to expand spiritual consciousness. These are then integrated into two sets of poses that allow each learner to perform masculine and feminine life stories regardless of biological or sexual orientation. Poses are grouped together in short segments to focus clearly on their movements and intentions. The place of each pose in the whole narrative is given in detail with its fundamental meaning to sustain as an intention while performing the routines. In combination, these idealistic stories are explained, while embodying and integrating the Laws of Nature throughout our lives, and helping learners find their way back to their true self in subtle, yet profound, ways. A choice of beginner, intermediate, and advanced-level warm-up exercises is also provided to stretch, tone, and balance the body.

More than ever, we need to expand our optimism and connectivity with others that this enhanced Yoga practice offers. For individuals seeking psychological and spiritual solace through exercise, meditation, and movement, Rutanda helps to ...

Rutanda leads practitioners to simply feel good.

Era Martin is the founder and instructor of Rutanda after a spiritual journey that led her around the world and ultimately to Japan. Over the course of 12 years there, she was recognized by two traditional Japanese spiritual masters, Takenori Sera Sensei and Tsuyoshi Nara Sensei, to study and practice with them and then to join them, as the third embodiment of a profound spiritual lineage. She received Rutanda as a gift from the Invisible Realms, and she wants to share it with anyone who feels they can also benefit from it. She would like to think that you will cherish and enjoy this precious gift as well.
